Prashant Deshpande

Prashant Deshpande, Senior Advisor at India Law Alliance is a qualified Lawyer from Mumbai University with over 40 years of experience. He is also a Chartered Accountant (Nov 1981) and Company Secretary (June 1987). Prashant holds a Certificate of Practice (CoP) as a practicing Chartered Accountant.

Prashant possesses a unique blend of industry and consulting expertise. He has spent more than 10 years at Hindustan Unilever, where he worked in various capacities, including Financial Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and as a Company Secretary within the group. Additionally, he has gained extensive experience with renowned consulting firms such as Arthur Andersen, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Deloitte, specializing in the field of Indirect tax for around 25 years.

Recognized for his expertise, Prashant has consistently been listed as one of the leading indirect tax advisors by International Tax Review (ITR) World Tax from 2011 to 2019.

Within India Law Alliance, Prashant serves as a mentor and plays a crucial role in establishing a sustainable organizational framework. He is also available for client meetings, providing counsel briefings, and representing clients at Tax Tribunals.
